Yes, all combinations can be tested in our showroom. We are also happy to provide these combinations for home testing. Especially for custom-made products and mattresses for your home bed, we recommend test nights rather than just a few minutes.
Standard products, such as ClickMat or RoofTop, can only be tested in our showroom, not overnight.
As long as you're referring to mattresses – yes! We are happy to donate usable mattresses to aid projects such as "Humanosh – Aid for Ukraine". All others are recycled in cooperation with the Mattress Alliance.
Yes, we always sew in a zipper. The covers are washable at 30°C.
This can vary seasonally. Normally, however, production time never exceeds two weeks. For special upholstery fabrics or externally manufactured fitted sheets and mattress toppers, delivery time can sometimes be four to six weeks.
No, this is only possible in the case of a quality defect or manufacturing error. A mattress is a hygiene product that is no longer in pristine condition after use. Therefore, we recommend our trial sleep offer for custom-made mattresses. For standard products, you are welcome to visit our showroom.

We're not marketing experts, but our logo is always on the top. If you have a mattress with a single cover (identical top and bottom), the inside will tell you what's correct:
1. Do not lie on the slatted side, it is too hard (applies to MyLit products)
2. The lightest layer is always on top, unless you have chosen a very specific configuration.
Yes, of course. The standard heights for leisure beds are 5 / 7.5 / 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 18 / 20 cm. You can decide what's best for you.
A mattress topper can help in this situation, but it's not always the best solution. If the top and bottom layers don't match, you might end up wasting money in the wrong place. Or to put it another way: snow doesn't necessarily make concrete softer. That's why mattress toppers should also be tested. Bring your existing mattress with you so we can compare all the options.

We don't keep specific sizes in stock, as experience over the years has shown that this is impractical. Every type of vehicle or boat has a different shape and dimensions, making it impossible for us to maintain a stock. However, we are always equipped with materials that allow for rapid production.
Excluded are the Classic products, which are in stock in the most common sizes, as well as the ClickMat and RoofTop mattresses for the common brands.
Individual comfort
For a Fanello support element to function perfectly, it is very important that one support element/slatted frame is used per person. Constructing a double bed with "oversized" slats would create a catapult effect, causing you to wake up constantly and end up in the same corner every morning.
With fanello MyLit, we offer the option of fitting two separate bed sections into one cover, so that the whole thing feels like a single mattress and there's no gap between the mattresses. Similarly, with fanello TakeOut products, it makes sense to use a single mattress covering the entire surface, as this prevents the movements of the other sleeper from being transmitted.
The fanello Classic UNO and DUE support elements, which are offered for single beds up to 140 cm wide, are exempt from this rule.
In Switzerland
Fanello beds are still produced exclusively in Fahrwangen, Aargau, on Lake Hallwil. A large proportion of the materials are also sourced from Switzerland.
You have the choice
Latex is more flexible and has better point elasticity compared to any other foam. However, we have included Evopore polyurethane foam in our product range because it is also very well suited for beds and mattresses in vehicles, as it is approximately one-third lighter than natural latex. Furthermore, with Evopore, we have found a foam whose properties are very similar to those of latex.
In our experience, latex works better in combination with a flexible base. Therefore, where there is no support element or soft seating surface, we recommend Evopore foam.
Just because everyone talks about it doesn't mean it's good...
After the foaming process, cold foam has approximately 90% closed pores (cells). Furthermore, unlike standard foam, it cannot tolerate high humidity or high temperatures unless complex and expensive formulations are used.
Since fanello develops bedding systems for travel, such a foam wouldn't be suitable for our needs. After all, you never know where your travels will take you. Because you often lie quite close to the foam, it's very important that it's breathable. Evopor, like latex, absorbs moisture and releases it again. With the polyurethane foam called Evopor, we have a highly breathable and temperature-independent alternative to cold foam, which we will continue to use in the future.
The temperature should not impair sleeping comfort.
Several test subjects have confirmed that at temperatures below approximately 16° Celsius, a viscoelastic mattress becomes as hard as a board, and it takes a very long time for body heat to bring the foam back to its desired shape. For this reason, we recommend against adding viscoelastic foam to an existing mattress for outdoor use, as this often fails to produce the desired effect and can even worsen comfort. We use temperature-independent materials such as latex and Evopore.
Different characteristic, different name
The conventional slatted frame usually serves "only" as ventilation. Our support element clearly takes on more responsibility.
Fanello slatted bed bases are primarily designed for enhanced ergonomics and increased sleeping comfort. With their longitudinal latex strips, fanello slatted bed bases guarantee perfect support and adaptation to the contours of the body.
However, we won't be offended if you accidentally refer to our support elements as slatted bed bases.
